Quantum technology has become a defining arena in the global competition for technological leadership. Established under the NSTC’s strategic research framework, Taiwan’s national quantum initiative brings together industry, government, academia, and research institutes across three core domains: hardware, software, and photonic quantum technology.
The visual design of this handbook draws its concept from the “quantum state” symbol at the heart of the TQPO identity. The names of the three research domains are embedded within the composition, forming a cover graphic that balances visual distinctiveness with conceptual depth. The parallel and converging lines evoke the resonance and entanglement between quantum states, while reflecting the Program Office’s capacity to bridge disciplines and drive coordinated progress across its research ecosystem.
Foil stamping was chosen as the finishing technique, using the interplay of sheen and texture to reinforce the Program Office’s image as a forward-looking, precision-driven organization. More than an introductory document, this handbook is a tangible expression of Taiwan’s momentum in quantum science — designed to communicate not just what the program does, but the weight and ambition of what it is building.
